Your "Key Steps" Coaching for the week ahead:
1 . What are your everyday rituals? I think the word "ritual" can be intimidating and conjure up pictures of elaborate events. That needn't be the case. The more I broaden my interpretation of what can be called a ritual, the more I find them in the simplest things, and find myself creating them.

Those of you who have been to a Key Steps workshop will know about the simple rituals we use to begin and end each session. What are your daily rituals? Tending your garden could be a ritual of connecting to the earth. Saying thanks before eating; a ritual of gratitude and honouring nature and good fortune. Taking 10 minutes when you come home from work to connect with your partner and really listen to how their day was, a ritual of honouring your relationship. 2 . What rituals would you like to replace? Sometimes our everyday rituals no longer serve us yet we hang onto them for fear of change or simply because they have become habits and we carry them out on autopilot. Maybe it has become a family tradition to eat out on Mother’s Day and no-one has thought to let go of this notion and realise that it might be nice to make lunch at home? Perhaps it’s become a company tradition to have weekly meetings on a Monday morning and it would be much better to change them to a Wednesday afternoon.
